A Wednesday, October 4 fire at the Whispering Pines Apartments sent one man to a hospital with burns and smoke inhalation.
Bradford County Fire Chief Ben Carter said Starke Fire Rescue was the primary responder to the call, and his agency supported city firefighters.
Carter said first responders quickly extinguished the kitchen grease fire and evaluated three patients before transporting one to a hospital.
