The community is invited to join DLP Bank for refreshments and an opportunity to meet the new president, Tom Fontaine, on Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 4-6 pm.
Fontaine will always have an open door, so if attendees can’t make it on Jan. 9, they are encouraged to stop by when it’s more convenient.
Fontaine joined DLP Bank (formerly Community State Bank) this past fall, arriving from the Boston area, where he played a significant role in managing Cambridge Bancorp, a $5 billion bank and wealth management company. Prior to that, he served as the president and CEO of another regional bank, Wellesley Bank, leading its successful growth for two decades.
Throughout his extensive career, Fontaine has focused on community banking, and he now brings that expertise — and the emphasis on relationship-building — to Starke.
Fontaine’s decision to move to the Sunshine State was slightly preceded by his twin brother, who now resides in nearby Ponte Vedra. He has relocated to Starke with his fiancé, Maureen Sullivan, her son Jordan, and two dogs: an English-cream golden retriever and a rescue dog (mix unknown). His son has followed in his financial footsteps and works in Austin, Texas, while his daughter is on the verge of graduating from Boston University with a doctorate in occupational therapy.
Outside of financial matters, the couple enjoy fine wine and food experiences, praying together with family and friends, and traveling.
Fontaine encourages residents, stating, “Come talk to me. Let me know what we’re doing right, and wrong, so we can make your banking experiences better.”
Jan. 9 provides the perfect opportunity to do just that — and welcome Fontaine to the Starke community.
