Keystone Heights High School didn’t need many goals, but it got five anyway from Kiersten Shaw in a 7-0 win over Fort White in the Jan. 24 quarterfinals of the District 4-3A girls soccer tournament in Williston.
The second seed Indians (11-5-1) will play third seed Williston (11-4) in a semifinal match on Friday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. in Williston.
Ella Hutchins and Alyssa Townsend each had a goal for Keystone, which took 35 shots on goal against seventh seed Fort White (5-8-2).
Kayle Buchanan and Shaw led the team in assists with three and two, respectively. Hutchins and Ashly McCarthy each had one assist.
Goalie Aspen Krohn made four saves.
If the Indians win their semifinal match, they’ll play top seed P.K. Yonge (11-3-3) or fourth seed Newberry (11-8-1) for the championship on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. in Williston.
Keystone is attempting to play for a district title for the fifth straight season. The Indians were runners-up in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, losing to P.K. Yonge each year.
