KHHS boys defeat Santa Fe 4-3 in tennis

Keystone Heights High School opened boys tennis season with a 4-3 win over visiting Santa Fe on Feb. 6.

The Indians dropped matches at number-one and number-two singles, with Dalton Moore losing 8-2 and Evan Booth losing 8-5, but then recorded wins in the three through five slots. Ethan Teague and Beckett Capper each won 8-1 and number three and number five, respectively, while Will Begue won 8-3 at number four.

The number-one doubles team of Moore and Booth lost 8-3, but the number-two team of Teague and Curran Capper won 8-6.

Keystone travels to Starke to play Bradford on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 3:45 p.m. and will return home to play Eastside on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 3:30 p.m. The Indians host Bradford on Monday, Feb. 26, at 3:45 p.m. and then travel to play Santa Fe on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 3:30 p.m.
