Clark, Rogel drive in 6 runs in 2 Central Florida wins

Leah Clark, a 2023 Union County High School graduate, and Emma Rogel, a 2022 Keystone Heights High School graduate, continue to make an impact in collegiate softball, combining for six RBI to help the College of Central Florida defeat Hillsborough twice on March 26.

The first game of the double-header was a 13-1 win in which Clark went 2 for 3, two RBI and three runs scored. Rogel went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Central Florida defeated Hillsborough again by a 13-1 score, with Rogel going 3 for 4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Clark scored two runs and went 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Prior to the double-header, Clark hit her seventh home run in a 3-0 win over Miami Dade on March 24.

Clark leads the Patriots with 21 extra-base hits. She has the team high in doubles (10) and triples (4), while her home-run total is second on the team.

The freshman infielder also leads the team in RBI (49), runs scored (53) and walks (20). She’s second in stolen bases (34) and is batting .456, which ranks her fourth on the team.

Rogel, a catcher, is batting .376. She’s third on the team in stolen bases (20) and walks (13) and fourth in RBI (30) and runs scored (30).
