The Starke Rotary Club held its 16th annual Beast Feast at the Bradford Sportsman’s Farm on Saturday, April 6.
The event featured cuisine with wild game, door prizes, a pig auction, and the presentation of the Pete Gianas Scholarship recipients.
Brett Redding and Landen Waters each received a $1,000 scholarship check as recipients of the award honoring the late physician and medical director of several area emergency medical services.
Master of Ceremonies Jesse Myers told the crowd that the Starke club, founded in 1937, partners with other Rotary clubs worldwide to eradicate polio.
“We support Boy Scouts Troop 70,” he added. We’ve got Santa Fe College scholarships, and in our newest venture, we’ve partnered with the City of Starke, and we got pickleball courts.”
