Keystone Heights High School competed in the Tocoi Creek Toro Track and Field Showdown on April 13, with boys team member Ryder Thomas earning top-eight finishes in the 1600m and 3200m.
Thomas ran a sixth-place time of 4:47 in the 1600, while his time of 10:45 in the 3200m placed him eighth.
The boys team also scored a point with an eighth-place finish in the 4x400m relay. Tyler Sapp, Jamari Turner, Ryeland Wahl and Josiah Durrenberger teamed up to run a time of 3:46.
Other boys results were: 100m — Durrenberger 12.63, Sapp 12.99, De’Shawn Williams 14.24, Luke Lewis 14.38; 200m — Durrenberger 25.08, Williams 28.95, Carter Andrews 35.46; 400m — Sapp 56.67, Wahl 56.99, Williams 1:05, Andrews 1:15; 800m — Hunter Sheppard 2:15, Wahl 2:24, Jason Parales 2:40; 1600m — Sheppard 5:09, Parales 5:46, Parker Pescara 5:49; 110m hurdles — Turner 20.21; 400m hurdles — Turner 1:07; high jump — Thomas 5-0.25; long jump — Turner 18-1.25, Williams 15-8.25; javelin — Lewis 108-8, Pescara 45-10.75; and shot put — Ricardo Rosario 33-9.5.
Keystone had the following girls results: 100m — Christine Djavaheri 14.15, Laila Briseno 15.0, Jasmine Walls 16.47; 200m — Djavaheri 28.31, Briseno 30.89, Kenslee Phillips 31.33, Brook Graudons 32.27; 400m — Phillips 1:11, Graudons 1:14, Walls 1:22; 800m — Olivia Griffin 2:35; discus — Zoey Gill 37-6; and javelin — Gill 64-5.25.
