The following in an announcement of intention to seek public office paid for by the candidate.
My name is Lisa B. Johnson, and I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for reelection as Tax Collector of Union County.
Since being elected you have allowed me to proudly and humbly represent YOU the citizens of Union County as YOUR Tax Collector.
As a working Tax Collector, I take pride in the ability to furnish YOU with prompt, efficient and friendly customer service on a daily basis. I have four amazing cross-trained co-workers who’s proven dedication and experience are committed to helping YOU in every way possible. We have always had an open-door policy and we welcome YOU and your feedback anytime.
The Tax Collector’s Office is responsible for many varied duties: concealed weapon original applications and renewals, DMV titling and tag services, driver license issuance, clearances and driving tests, hunting & fishing licenses, property tax payments, notary services, etc. We offer debit and credit card payments for all office and phone transactions as well as online payments for property taxes via our website. We are basically a “One Stop Shop”, and our goal is to make YOUR visit easy, simple and hassle free. My staff and I work hard to provide YOU with the best service at minimal cost without sacrificing quality.
With your vote and support I would like the privilege of continuing to serve YOU and our great county for the next four years as YOUR Tax Collector.
Candidates may submit an announcement and photograph to run one time for $50. The deadline to submit announcements is Monday, June 17, at 5 p.m. Email announcements to [email protected] and make arrangements to pay prior to publication.
