Bradford’s Majors all-star team finished as the runner-up in the Santa Fe Babe Ruth District 5 tournament and will compete in the Cal Ripken Florida State Tournament, which will take place June 26-30 at Jacksonville’s Ed Austin Regional Park (3450 Monument Road or 11751 McCormick Road). Bradford defeated Williston 14-4 in its first game of the District 5 tournament, but then lost 11-1 to Chiefland. The team then won three straight games, defeating Archer 10-3, Keystone 8-7 and Santa Fe 13-2. That set up another game against Chiefland, which won 12-6 to win the championship trophy.
