The following in an announcement of intention to seek public office paid for by the candidate.

After prayer and consideration, I am excited to announce that I am running for Bradford County School Board member, District 4. My name is Dana Reddish Bell, and I am a lifelong Bradford County resident and a proud 1993 graduate of Bradford High School. I am a married mother of five children and currently work for the Bradford County School District. Over the past eight years, I have been a class sponsor, PTO officer, and SAC member. I am passionate about joining in the future success of our county school district.
Our county faces several challenges, including a decline in student enrollment, high teacher turnover, and a lack of resources for children with learning disabilities.
If elected, my focus will be on the following:
– Increasing retention of students and teachers through fair pay and compensation, and helping ensure every classroom is equipped for 21st century learning.
– Providing necessary resources and support for children with learning disabilities and unique abilities.
– Being an advocate and voice for students and parents concerning issues related to classroom learning, classroom environment, and discipline.
– Ensuring careful and responsible fiscal management of the district’s budget.
My passion for change comes from personal experiences with children with learning disabilities. As a parent myself of children who needed extra support, I have faced challenges to ensure they received the resources they needed for education and growth. Four of our children are proud Bradford County High School graduates with my youngest child still in our system. I will advocate as passionately for all children as I have for my own.
I am also a proud second-generation school district employee, following in the footsteps of my late mother, Becky Reddish, who helped start the Bradford County Education Foundation. She continues to impact our community through the Becky Reddish Memorial Scholarships at Santa Fe College.
As your board member, I will advocate for all students and openly discuss any issues parents feel need attention. I will collaborate on new policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective learning environment for our students and teachers. While not all decisions will be easy, I am committed to making the right choices for the best interests of our children and district. I will also advocate for smart spending of approved budgets and careful consideration of expenses.
My life and work experiences have prepared me for this position, and I look forward to devoting my time to protecting our children’s education and shaping the future of our schools.
My slogan is simple but impactful: “Every Student Counts.” My passion and dedication to children and education drive my commitment to change.
I am seeking your support in this election. I look forward to walking door-to-door and speaking with my neighbors in District 4. Together, we can make Bradford County Schools a model district where every student succeeds.
Sincerely,
Dana Reddish Bell
