Bradford High School placed second behind host Trinity Christian in an Oct. 14 boys golf match at Jacksonville’s Bent Creek Golf Course.
The Tornadoes had a team score of 181, which left them trailing the Conquerors by seven strokes.
Cody Spratlin finished in a three-way tie for second with a score of 43. He made par on four holes and finished one stroke behind medalist Zachary Hidalgo of Trinity.
Charlie Zink and Tucker Griffis placed fifth and sixth, respectively, with scores of 44 and 45. Zink had a birdie and made par on three holes, while Griffis made par on four holes.
Steven Carter and Avery Burgin each made par on one hole and finished ninth and 10, respectively, with scores of 49 and 50.
Matthew Stafford shot a 67.
Prior to playing Trinity, Bradford placed second against Clay in an Oct. 8 match at Green Cove Springs’ Magnolia Point Golf and Country Club.
Bradford had a team score of 192, while Clay finished at 157.
Spratlin shot a fourth-place score of 43, making par on five holes.
Griffis, who made par on one hole, finished in a two-way tie for seventh with a score of 47.
Zink, who made par on three holes, and Carter, who made par on one, placed ninth and 10th, respectively, with scores of 49 and 53.
Burgin and Stafford had scores of 60 and 62, respectively.
