KHHS girls golf team is 3rd at district tourney

The Keystone Heights High School girls golf team missed advancing to regional play by one spot, placing third at the District 5-1A tournament on Oct. 29 at Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida.

The top two teams earned the right to advance. Oak Hall placed first with a score of 485, followed by Chiefland, which had a score of 510.

Keystone’s score was 527.

Rebecca Binet and Aubrey Brooks finished tied for 15th, with each shooting an 18-hole score of 129. Binet made par on one hole.

Jasmine Walls and Zoey Gill placed 18th and 19th, respectively, with scores of 134 and 135.

Emily Cunningham finished in a two-way tie for 24th with a score of 145.
