The Union County School District honored Williams LP Gas during the December 17 school board meeting.
Superintendent Mike Ripplinger said the Williams family epitomized the county and the school district, “and they are all about the purple and gold.”
“They’ve been a long-time business partner of the Union County School System,” the superintendent added. “They’re major supporters of our band, football, and athletic programs and other areas throughout the district. And these are great folks. They’re hardworking folks.”
Doyle Williams, Katie Thomas, and Karl Williams accepted a plaque from Ripplinger symbolizing the district’s thanks.
