KHHS defeats Suwannee 7-0 in boys tennis

Keystone Heights High School won its second straight match in boys tennis, defeating visiting Suwannee 7-0 on Feb. 20.

Dalton Moore and Ethan Teague recorded 8-2 and 8-3 wins, respectively, at the top two singles slots, followed by Evan Booth with an 8-1 win, Will Begue with an 8-0 win and Beckett Capper with an 8-2 win.

In doubles, Moore and Booth teamed up to win 8-5, while Teague and Curran Capper won 8-3.

The Indians (3-1) opened the season with a 5-2 win at Santa Fe on Feb. 4, with four wins in singles by Booth, Teague, Beckett Capper and Curran Capper. Keystone also won in number-two doubles.

After a 7-0 loss at Eastside on Feb. 11, Keystone traveled to Starke, defeating Bradford 5-2 on Feb. 18. Moore and Booth each won 8-2 in singles, with Begue and Beckett Capper recording 8-4 and 8-1 wins, respectively. Teague and Curran Capper won 8-2 in doubles.

Keystone hosts Ridgeview on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. and then hosts Santa Fe on Tuesday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m.
