Lake Butler FFA’s poultry judging team won the state championship with a score of 1,363, putting it 29 points ahead of Bronson. Team member Blayne Hendricks was the individual state champ with a score of 468, which put him three points ahead of Kendal Craun of Peterson Academies of Technology. Lake Butler’s Peyton Kilgore placed eighth, while Tucker Dortch just missed out on finishing in the top 10 with an 11th-place finish. Pictured (l-r) are Dortch, Kilgore, Hendricks and Miley Wilson.
