KHHS splits tennis matches vs. Ridgeview

Keystone Heights High School improved to 4-1 in boys tennis with a 6-1 win over Ridgeview on Feb. 26.

Dalton Moore and Ethan Teague won 8-3 and 8-4, respectively, while Will Begue and Beckett Capper both won 8-0.

The doubles team of Begue and Evan Booth won 8-2, while Teague and Curran Capper won 8-4.

Booth lost a close match (8-5) at the number-three singles slot.

Keystone hosts Santa Fe on Tuesday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m. and will host Bradford on Tuesday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m.

The Keystone girls team also played Ridgeview, losing 6-1. Maria Papaioannou had the lone win by a score of 8-4 at number-five singles.

Whitnee Buchanan was the closest to giving the Indians a second win in singles play, falling 8-6 at the number-one slot.

Keystone plays at Santa Fe on Tuesday, March 4, at 4 p.m. and will travel to play Union County on Tuesday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m.
