Visiting Bishop Snyder scored five unearned runs in defeating the Bradford High School softball team 6-2 on Feb. 26.
Bradford (1-2) had just two hits and trailed 6-0 entering the bottom of the sixth. The Tornadoes began the inning with three straight singles hit by Kolee Lemire, Kellsie Cochran and Kingslee Phillips, with Phillips’ hit driving in a run. Keegan Yowell then drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.
Bailey Smith pitched a complete game, giving up nine hits and striking out three.
The Tornadoes host Newberry on Tuesday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. and will travel to play P.K. Yonge on Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m. Bradford travels to play Tocoi Creek on Friday, March 7, at 6 p.m. before returning home to play Hawthorne on Tuesday, March 11, at 7 p.m.
