BHS defeats Baker County for 1st win in boys tennis

Bradford High School picked up its first win in boys tennis, defeating visiting Baker County 5-2 on March 4.

Calum Butler and Rowan Butler won 8-2 and 8-1, respectively, at the top-two singles slots. Christopher Brennan earned an 8-6 win at the number-three spot, while Trevor Clements won 8-4 at the number-five spot.

The number-one doubles team of Butler and Butler won 8-2.

Zachary Wells also played in singles and teamed up with Brennan in doubles.

The girls team, which is still seeking a win, played at Baker on March 4, losing 6-1.

Brylee Gibson earned an 8-2 win at the number-five singles slot, with Victoria Hudgens, Jamiee Lin, Amber Boenert and Ingrid Alcala playing in the other spots.

Hudgens and Lin made up one of the Tornadodes’ doubles teams, while Boenert and Alcala paired up for the other.
