Keystone Heights High School hosted the number-one team in the Florida High School Athletic Association/MaxPreps Class 5A softball power rankings, losing 7-1 to Middleburg on March 11.
The Class 3A Indians (4-4) trailed only 2-0 before scoring their lone run in the fourth. Amber Wagner singled, advanced on an Audry Cisco bunt and scored when the Broncos committed an error on a fly ball hit by Kaleigh Marquart.
Kadence Massey pitched a complete game for Keystone, striking out six.
Keystone hosts Class 5A Ponte Vedra on Friday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. and will return to action after spring break with a home game against Fort White (ranked third in Class 1A) on Tuesday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m.
