Bradford High School’s softball team won its second straight game by mercy rule, defeating visiting Eastside 16-0 in three innings on March 13.
Regan Adams hit a two-run homer as part of a five-run first inning, while Summer Sutton drove in four runs in a nine-run third inning in which she batted twice.
Kolee Lemire pitched a no-hitter, giving up no walks and striking out five.
Keegan Yowell and Amber Wyn drew back-to-back walks to start the bottom of the first, with Yowell scoring on a single by Kallie Yowell. The bases were loaded after Addyson Hinds walked, but Wynn was caught off third base for the first out, while a strikeout resulted in the second out. Kallie Yowell and Hinds advanced on a wild pitch before they both scored on a Tayrn Flowers single. Adams then drove a 1-1 pitch over the fence in left for the inning’s final two runs.
Bradford (4-4) took a 7-0 lead into the bottom of the third. Wynn reached on an error, stole second and scored on a Kallie Yowell single. After Hinds reached on an error, Sutton hit a two-run double. Two more errors put Flowers and Gemma Rodriguez on base. A Bailey Smith ground out brought one run home, while a Lemire single drove in another. Keegan Yowell drove in a run when she ground into a fielder’s choice, followed by Wynn hitting an RBI double. Kendall Mort walked to load the bases before Sutton came to bat again, driving in the final two runs on a single.
Sutton finished 2 for 4, while Flowers, Smith and Kallie Yowell each went 2 for 3. Flowers had three RBI, while Smith and Yowell each had two.
Adams finished with the two RBI resulting from her homer, while Lemire, Wynn and Keegan Yowell each had one RBI.
The Tornadoes entered the game off an 18-3, three-inning win over visiting Hawthorne on March 11.

Hinds, who went 3 for 3, drove in four runs, including three on two doubles in a 10-run first inning.
That big inning also included a three-run double from Keegan Yowell, an RBI double from Wynn and RBI singles from Adams and Kallie Yowell.
Hinds and Sutton each hit a two-run single as part of a five-run second.
Wynn finished 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, while Kingslee Phillips went 2 for 2.
Keegan Yowell finished with three RBI, while Sutton had two.
Adams, Smith, Wynn and Kallie Yowell each drove in one run.
Starting pitcher Lemire gave up no runs and no hits through two innings.
Smith pitched the final inning, allowing three runs and three hits.
Bradford hosts Union County on Friday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m.
