Ar’Nayshia Griffin threw five touchdown passes and rushed for another score in the Bradford High School flag football team’s 45-12 win over visiting Keystone Heights on March 27.
Griffin completed 19 of 29 passes for 335 yards and rushed for 60 yards on eight carries as the Tornadoes, who are ranked sixth in Class 1A, improved to 8-0.
Based on stats that have been uploaded to MaxPreps, Griffin is ranked second in Class 1A in passing yards.
Nichelle Brown and Rhianna Davis each had two touchdown receptions, with Brown catching eight passes for 175 yards and Davis catching six for 70 yards.
Cherish Bing caught three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown, while Kaylee Devore had one reception for 30 yards.
Brown is the state’s leading receiver (regardless of classification).
On defense, Griffin intercepted two passes, while Brown intercepted one.
Griffin’s 15 interceptions this season have her tied for second in the state (regardless of classification).
Alee Horton rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on six carries for Keystone (6-6), which entered the game having won two in a row.
Horton, who is the fourth leading rusher in Class 1A rushing and ninth out of all classifications, is seventh in Class 1A in passing yards. Against Bradford, she completed 17 of 27 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown, with Aubre Miller catching four passes for 69 yards and Ashlyn Brown catching five for 63 yards.
Alex Papaiannou had three receptions for 28 yards.
The Indians’ defense got five tackles from Horton and four each from Brown and Alyssa Sanford.

Bradford entered the game off a 32-0 win at Baker County on March 26. Griffin completed 14 of 25 passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
Brown caught all of the scoring tosses and finished with seven receptions for 145 yards.
The Bradford defense got two interceptions each from Brown and Griffin.
Bradford travels to play Buchholz on Tuesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m. and will travel to play Middleburg on Thursday, April 3, at 6 p.m. The Tornadoes then play road games at Taylor County on Monday, April 7, at 6 p.m. and at Florida High on Tuesday, April 8, at 6 p.m.
The Tornadoes return home to play Ed White on Wednesday, April 9, at 6 p.m.
Prior to playing Bradford, Keystone defeated host Palatka 18-0 on March 25. Horton rushed for 58 yards on five carries and completed 15 of 20 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns.
Riley Shuford, who is second in receiving in Class 1A, caught all of the touchdown passes and finished with five receptions for 169 yards.
Miller caught four passes for 40 yards.
Sanford recorded a team-high six tackles, while Miller had four sacks.
Keystone’s defense got two interceptions from Brown and one each from Shuford and Teilah Hall.
The Indians travel to play Columbia on Thursday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. and return home to play Fleming Island on Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, April 8, Keystone hosts Interlachen at 6 p.m.
