Cubbedge, relay team earn wins for Bradford Middle at SMAC track, field meet

Bradford Middle School competed in the Suwannee Middle Athletic Conference Championships on April 3 in Palatka, with the boys team getting wins in the shot put and the 4x100m relay.

Brilan Cliffin, Raef Cubbedge, McKenzie Nattiel and Chase Small teamed up to run 58.39 in the 4x100m relay, while Cubbedge earned the win in the shot put with a distance of 41 feet, 8 inches.

Nattiel placed third in the 400m with a time of 1:01, while Ethan Ansley was third in the 800m with a time of 2:26.

Cubbedge and Cliffin placed fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 100m with times of 12.16 and 12.60.

Bradford, which was fifth in the boys team standings, also got a point from Nattiel’s eighth-place finish in the 100m (12.81).

Other BMS boys participants were Kingston Carroll in the 100m (13.42), Aiden Jackson in the 400m (1:10), Aspen Williams in the 400m (1:13) and Caden Eison in the 800m (3:05).

The Bradford girls team got a second-place finish from Jensie Baldree, who had a time of 14.10 in the 100m.

Baldree teamed up with Dezahlyn Brazell, Ameriyah Pittman and A’shariyah Williams in the 4x100m relay, with the team placing fourth with a time of 58.39.

Emma West placed fifth in the 400m (1:12), while Brazell was eighth in the 100m (15.26).

Also participating for Bradford, which was fifth in the team standings, were Maliah Dodd in the 100m (15.41) and Lillian Haeseler in the 400m (1:18).
