
Keystone Heights High School found out it will have 13 individuals each in Olympic and traditional competing at the Saturday, April 12, Class 1A boys weightlifting state finals after the release of at-large qualifiers on April 6.
The Indians’ lifters who placed first at the April 4 Region 2-1A meet automatically qualified for state: Jackson Herman, Colton Hollingsworth, Elijah Mize and Kyle Perkins in Olympic and Hollingsworth and Mize in traditional.
At-large qualifiers were determined by comparing the totals from all of Class 1A’s four regional meets. Keystone’s Olympic at-large qualifiers were Pete Bostic, Clark Byrnes, Dylan Currington, Zane Leger, Logan Madden-Moore, Aiden Nobles, Brayden Wester, Trase Wooden and Layton Wright, while traditional at-large qualifiers were Bostic, Currington, Herman, Leger, Nobles, Perkins, Wester, Wooden, Wright, Damien Dunlap and Jagger Lancaster.
The Indians’ lifters in weight classes 119, 129, 154 and 169 will begin competing at state at 9 a.m., while the lifters in the 199, 219, 238 and unlimited classes will begin their competition at 3 p.m.
