Keystone Heights High School hosted the fourth-ranked team in Class 1A in an April 14 softball game, losing 12-1 in five innings.
The Class 2A Indians (6-12) were held to four hits — two of which occurred in the third inning when Tayler Buchanan tripled and scored on a Bella Cumbo single.
It was the fifth straight loss for Keystone.
On April 8, the Indians hosted Class 6A Oakleaf, losing 11-1. Keystone had only five hits, with one being a double by Amber Wagner. Chloe Still scored the lone run on an error after getting hit by a pitch in the third inning.
The Indians traveled to play Class 5A Fleming Island on April 10, losing 6-1. Cumbo scored the lone run, reaching on a single in the sixth and later scoring on a steal of home.
Keystone finished with just four hits, with one being a double by Maddi Glinski.
The Indians host Santa Fe on Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. and will travel to play Bartram Trail on Thursday, April 17, at 6 p.m. Keystone then travels to play Eustis on Monday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. before traveling to play Bradford on Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 23, the Indians travel to play Ridgeview at 6 p.m.
