The New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministry hosted a special Mother’s Day breakfast on Saturday, May 10, honoring mothers with fellowship, food, and faith.

Inspired by a visit to her mother’s gravesite, Women’s Ministry Chair Ida Sue Wright envisioned the event as a meaningful tradition.

Chairman Ida Sue Wright with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Women Ministry volunteers Myra McCray, Rosa Thomas, and Alica McMillian joyfully prepare the food.

With the theme “Mothers Walking in God’s Purpose,” the morning included an opening prayer by Deaconess Linda Nichols, a welcome from Mother Amanda Chandler, a solo by Sister Shirley Sewell, a poem by Sister Taliyah Wilson, and a blessing by Reverend Abie C. Williams, Jr.
