The Summer BreakSpot program provides nutritious meals at no cost to children 18 and under while school is out for the summer. The nutritionally balanced meals meet USDA guidelines, including milk and fruit and vegetables.
The program, is funded by the USDA and overseen in Florida by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Local nonprofit organizations run the sites and receive reimbursement from the USDA for providing meals.
