The north Florida external affairs manager for Florida Power and Light told a Clay chamber group meeting in Keystone Heights that her utility is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
During the chamber’s May 22 meeting of the Lake Region Prosperity Partners at the Keystone Beach Pavilion, Carol Saviak also discussed FPL‘s efforts to increase its resiliency, including the installation of more underground lines and the hardening of infrastructure against tropical cyclones.
Saviak highlighted FPL’s economic development group, which she said helps attracts new employers to the Sunshine State.
She said her utility played a role in bringing Niagara Bottling to Clay County several years ago, even though the water bottling company is not an FPL customer.
