Thomas Allen Lyons, 50, of Starke, was sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections, and Herbert Ernest Thompson, 47, was committed to five and a half years in state custody during June hearings before Circuit Judge James M. Colaw.
According to an arrest report, Bradford deputies conducted a search warrant of Lyons’s County Road 225 property last October and found several firearms, 3.9 grams of marijuana, a digital scale with methamphetamine residue on the device, and other drugs and paraphernalia.
At the time of the search, the defendant had eight felony convictions. The state dropped two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Lyons pleaded to one count. The defendant also pleaded to possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thompson pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Colaw sealed the details of the state’s complaint against him because of an ongoing investigation.
