Dreamers and Doers celebrate strength, culture

Dreamers and Doers of Bradford County Inc. celebrated the rich history and culture of African American freedom and heritage with a Juneteenth Gala and Pageant. 

The pageant featured talented contestants, honoring the resilience and strength of the Black community. Led by a dedicated committee including Valara Petteway (director), Shaunte Carter, Jarvis Desue, Audrey Myers, Daisy Davis, Faitha Desue, Naudia Jones and Quetina Jones, the celebration was a joyous occasion filled with music, dance and pride, serving as a reminder of the importance of freedom, equality, and unity.

Congratulations to the winners: Miss Juneteenth Aleece Carroll, First Runner-up Jayla Lewis, Junior Miss Juneteenth Malaiah Dodd and Mr. Juneteenth Jaxon Redding.
