Trent Hamilton Etheridge, 48, of Keystone Heights, was arrested by Clay deputies on June 25 for trespassing.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the defendant had previously received a trespass warning for the victim’s property in the Immokalee Road area.
“(The victim) advised he was in the front yard of the property working outside,” wrote Deputy Brandon T. Draughton-Miller in the document. “His next-door neighbor (defendant) walked from his adjoining property and spoke to (the victim). (The victim) was familiar with the defendant from numerous incidents of him trespassing on the property and causing other issues.”
The officer added that the victim informed Etheridge that he was trespassing and asked him to leave several times.
“After a few minutes, the defendant eventually turned around and left the property,” the deputy wrote, adding that the victim recorded the encounter on his phone.
