KHHS boys fall by 20 strokes to host Palatka

The Keystone Heights High School boys golf team, which had its season opener against Bradford on Aug. 19 rained out, traveled to play Palatka on Aug. 21, with the Panthers having the top three individuals and shooting a team score of 160 to defeat the Indians.

Keystone, which had a team score of 180, was led by Jackson McDaniel, who was fourth with a score of 42. He had one birdie and made par on four holes.

The Indians’ Sammy Wacha made par on five holes and finished with a sixth-place score of 44, while Will Begue and Baylor Ford each shot a 47 to tie for seventh. Ford had a birdie and made par on three holes, while Begue made par on one hole.

Keystone’s Jacob Beach and Landon Spence shot 60 and 67th, respectively, with Beach making par on two holes.

The Indians play at Bradford on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 4 p.m.
