Kerissa Seay led the Union County High School girls golf team with a third-place finish in the Tigers’ second-place team finish against Bronson and Chiefland in an Aug. 28 match in Chiefland.
The Tigers had a team score of 250, putting them 33 strokes ahead of Bronson.
Chiefland placed first with a score of 220.
Seay finished with a score of 57, while Katelyn Seay placed fifth, shooting a 60.
Sophia Elixson shot a 65 to finish in a two-way tie for seventh, while Sierra Bell was in a two-way tie for 10th with a score of 68.
Summer Shaw had a score of 76.
Union (2-2) entered the match off a loss to Chiefland on Aug. 26 at the Country Club at Lake City.
Chiefland had a team score of 252 in the Aug. 26 match, which saw the Tigers finish at 280.
Katelyn Seay shot a 61 to finish in a three-way tie for second.
Elixson and Shaw were sixth and seventh, respectively, with scores of 72 and 73.
Kerissa Seay was eighth with a score of 74.
Union plays Branford on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 3:30 p.m. at Lake City’s Quail Heights and will travel to play Bradford at the Starke Golf and Country Club on Thursday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m.
The Tigers play in a match with Columbia and Keystone Heights on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 3:30 p.m. at Quail Heights.
