Sex offender failed to register new residence

According to an arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the Whispering Oaks apartments on South Water Street regarding a disturbance. While investigating, an officer was informed by another individual at the scene that one of the men present, Miller, was a sex offender.
The defendant initially provided an Arizona ID card that did not indicate his status. However, a deputy conducted a further search of law enforcement databases, which confirmed he was required to register. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s sex offender database listed an address for Miller in Portland, Oregon.
The investigation revealed that Miller had been living in Bradford County for approximately two months without registering with the sheriff’s office, a violation of state law. His partner confirmed their two-month residency at Whispering Oaks.

She didn’t clean the house, so he choked her

According to an arrest report, the victim told Deputy K. Mozingo that her husband came home from work and became angry because she did not clean the house.
“(The victim) advised that they began to argue,” wrote the officer. “(She) stated she was trying to call her friends on her phone to try to find somewhere to stay for the night, when Dylan took her phone from her and wouldn’t give it back.”
The woman added that Parker then choked her, struck her in the face with a closed fist, and shoved her against a wall.
“I observed a bruise under (the victim’s) left eye, bruising on the right side of her neck, a bruise on her right forearm, and a bruise on her left thigh,” wrote Mozingo.
The deputy added that Parker claimed his wife started the argument, complaining that he did not help around the house enough.
“Dylan stated that (his wife) was angry, and he decided to wrap his arms around her in order to calm her down,” reported Mozingo. “Dylan advised that she then began to punch him and fight him in an effort to get away. Dylan stated that he did not punch her and only blocked her punches.”
