Bradford High School’s volleyball team won for the sixth time in seven matches, defeating visiting Hawthorne 3-0 (25-5, 25-10, 25-7) on Sept. 18.
Tatum Burkhalter and Ar’Nayshia Griffin each had nine kills, while Kingslee Phillips had 17 assists and six service aces.
Autumn DeKorver also had six aces to go along with six digs.
Shelby Cole had four aces.
The Tornadoes (6-4) entered the match off a 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-8) win at Interlachen on Sept. 16. Griffin and Burkhalter had 13 and eight kills, respectively, with Griffin also recording three blocks and Burkhalter recording three aces.
Phillips had seven aces to go along with 21 assists, while Manduo Wei had 10 digs and three aces.
DeKorver had nine digs, while Wynter Barrington had two blocks.
Bradford hosts Interlachen on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m., following a junior varsity match at 5:30 p.m. The Tornadoes then travel to play Baker County on Monday, Sept. 29, at 5:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Bradford travels to play Palatka, with the JV teams playing at 6 p.m. and the varsity teams playing at 7 p.m.
The Tornadoes return home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, to play Hilliard at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
