Union County High School’s volleyball team won its fourth match in a row with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-19) victory over visiting Dixie County on Oct. 6.

The streak began with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-11, 25-18, 25-23) win over visiting Keystone Heights on Sept. 25.
Indi Knox had 16 kills and 12 digs, while Morgan Smith had 11 kills. Jailyn Simmons and Mallory Waugh added nine and eight kills, respectively, with Simmons also recording three service aces and Waugh recording 12 assists, 11 digs and four blocks.
Abby Williams led the team in assists with 25. She also had 10 digs and four aces.
Bella Johns had a team-high 24 digs to go along with three aces.
Bayley Staier had 14 digs and five aces.
On Sept. 29, Union defeated visiting Newberry 3-1 (18-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-19), getting eight kills each from Knox, Simmons, Smith and Waugh.
Knox led the team in digs with 23, while Johns had 22. The Tigers also got 15 digs from Staier, 13 digs from Waugh, 11 digs from Williams and nine digs from Simmons.
Williams had 20 assists and three aces, while Waugh added seven assists.
Johns and Simmons each had three aces, while Simmons also had three blocks.
The Tigers defeated visiting Bell 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-23) on Sept. 30. Stats were unavailable by deadline.
Union (16-7) hosts Baker County on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., following a junior varsity match at 6 p.m. The Tigers will end the regular season with a road match against Bell on Thursday, Oct. 9, with matches scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The Tigers will next play in the District 6-Rural tournament. Seedings and matchups will be announced later.
