Starke Downtown Merchants are calling upon churches, nonprofits and anyone who loves Halloween to make this year’s Great Pumpkin Escape the best yet. Reach more than 3,000 in annual attendance by being a part of Trunk or Treat. Set up your own station with games, prizes, candy and community information. Contact North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce for more information at 904-964-5278 or [email protected].
The Great Pumpkin Escape will take place Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5-8 p.m. on Call Street in historic downtown Starke. Presented by Starke Downtown Merchants and the chamber, the event treats the community to games, music, food, candy and a pet parade!
Thursday, Oct. 30, the fun will continue with a fundraiser for The Arc of Bradford County. For a $20 donation, take part in a wine tasting at The Downtown Grill at 6 p.m., then join the annual Witches Ride through downtown. Walk, bike or ride in your witchy finest through the streets of downtown to this year’s new event — The Spooky Silent Disco, open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. under the Church Street overpass. “Lease” your earbuds at the Downtown Grill in exchange for something of value you want returned (car keys, driver’s license), so you can join the dance party. Turn in your earbuds to retrieve your valuable.
