Class of 1980 holds 45th reunion

 Bradford High School’s Class of 1980 held its 45th reunion at the Starke Woman’s Club on Saturday, October 18.

Class President Robbie Pierce presided over the event, which featured a catered food bar from the Downtown Grill.

Pierce credited committee members Mike Akridge, Christie Faulkner Allen, Pam Underhill Whittle, Lisa Reddish Gault, Judy Hankerson Sumpter, Danny Nugent, Virginia Crawford Denmark, Cindy Lawson Hildebran and Teresa Gaskins Phillips for producing the event.

Nineteen-Eighty graduates also remembered their classmates who had passed on, which were Robert Allen, Frazier Bass, John Bennett, Janice Berry, David Boree, Paul Carter, Terrie Cogdill, James Cramer, Sandy Crutchfield, Junior Daughtery, Michael Davis, Guy DeSue, Shari Evans, David Fussell, Cathey Holtz, Andrea Jenkins, Jimmy Mann, Marsha McElhenny, Kim Norman, Lori Norman, Ricky Patrick, Esther Pearson, Marty Ricks, Byron Roberts, Adam Rosier, Tod Samons, Linda Sawyer, Selma Shouppe, Joey Starling, Brenda Williams, Renee Williams and Johnny Williamson.

Nineteen Eighty was the year Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter for the U.S. Presidency, Mount St. Helens erupted, and the “Dallas” television episode of “Who Shot J.R.?” captivated the nation.
