Santa brought joy to hundreds at the Breakfast with Santa event at Starke Elementary, all while raising funds to support school needs in Bradford County.

The event ran from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Dec. 6. Attendees enjoyed photos with Santa, breakfast for both children and adults, and a fun game of bingo with an array of fabulous prizes everyone was eager to win.

Funds raised from bingo and breakfast will be used to purchase items needed by the school, such as a new laminator, activity supplies and other essential materials.

“It’s just a nice community event to celebrate, kick off the Christmas season and allow our parents to join their children in festivities, but also generate funds for our school,” said Michelle Davis, Starke Elementary assistant principal.

Mariah Jermaine, who brought her family to the event, said, “I am here to support the school and see Santa and help raise money to help with PTO and stuff.”

At this time, it’s unknown how much the fundraiser brought in.

Visiting with Santa are John Tyson Jr., John Tyson III, Eunece Blye, Eugene Blye IV, Judah Blye, Kendall Blye, Josiah Blye, McKenzi Blye, Dewitt Blye and Darrin Blye.
