Bradford students earn digital certifications

Nearly 70 Bradford High School students earned certifications in two technology areas this fall: computer device configuration and management, and visual design using Adobe Photoshop.

The school, in a news release, said these classes, part of Bradford High’s career and technical education programs, have enabled students to earn highly recognized industry certifications that showcase both technical expertise and real-world readiness.

“Device Configuration and Management certification, in particular, is a highly recognized industry certification that requires students to demonstrate mastery in configuring, securing, and maintaining devices, troubleshooting technical problems, and following professional IT workflows,” the school said. “Similarly, the Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop certification showcases students’ creativity, design expertise, and ability to produce professional-quality digital graphics.

“These certifications aren’t just pieces of paper,” said Steven Djavaheri, Digital Design and Digital Information Technology teacher. “They’re proof that our students understand real-world technology, can manage devices and systems like professionals, and have the confidence to succeed in any tech-focused environment. Our students have shown dedication, persistence, and creativity in every step of the process.”

The school said that for many students, earning these certifications was more than a personal goal; it was a demonstration of Bradford High’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment where ambition is nurtured, and success is expected.

“Being able to earn my certification while still in high school feels incredible,” said Jaelin Baker, who earned her Adobe Photoshop certification in Visual Design. “It shows that all the practicing, all the projects, and troubleshooting really paid off. I feel ready to take on college and follow my dream of pursuing a career in fashion design.”

The school’s career and technical education offerings also include criminal justice, welding, and nursing.

“Bradford High is proud of every student who challenged themselves this year,” said Principal Chris Coffey. “Our CTE programs give students a competitive edge, not just in the classroom, but in life. These certifications are proof of the hard work, talent, and resilience of our students and staff.”
