KHHS boys soccer team finishes in 3-3 tie with Broncos

Keystone Heights couldn’t make it three wins in a row in boys soccer, but the Indians didn’t lose, instead tying visiting Middleburg 3-3 on Dec. 18.

Luke Buchanan scored two goals for the Indians, while A.J. Nilsen had one.

The Indians (7-7-2) entered the match off an 8-1 win over visiting Interlachen on Dec. 17. Trenton Noble scored two goals, while Keystone got one goal each from Buchanan, Nathan Benson, Hunter McIntosh, Jackson Spence, Kipton Spence and Ryder Thomas.

Thomas and Buchanan had three and two assists, respectively. Brayden Bell, Kipton Spence and Sammy Wacha each recorded one assist.

Keystone will return to action in 2026 with a road match against Newberry on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. The Indians will host Santa Fe on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 7:20 p.m., following a junior varsity match at 5:30 p.m.

The Indians then travel to play Palatka on Friday, Jan. 9, at 6 p.m.

On Monday, Jan. 12, Keystone travels to play Interlachen, with the JV playing at 5 p.m. and the varsity playing at 7 p.m.

Keystone’s varsity team travels to play Williston on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m.
