Two Bradford High School wrestlers earned top-four finishes at the Dec. 12-13 Buchholz High School Bobcat Round Robin.
Tremeze White went 3-2 in placing third in the 150-157 B bracket. His wins were a 5:17 pin against Oakleaf’s Matthew Ingram, a 4-2 decision over Baker County’s Dane Hall and a forfeit over Colubmia’s Zachary Morris.
Lemuel Cooper was fourth in the 138-144 B bracket, earning one head-to-head win with a forfeit over Suwannee’s Kale Staley.
Julius Givings (138-pound class) and Wyatt Acevedo (144) each had four wins by pinning their opponents. Givings earned wins in 1:15, 2:23, 2:46 and 3:20, while Acevedo had wins in 19 seconds, 1:15, 1:47 and 1:49.
Jaland Carey (157) had three wins, pinning two opponents in 1:50 and 5:21 and coming out on top of another by a 17-5 major decision.
Kaison Pierce (215) earned two wins, both by pins (1;05, 3:18).
Aiden Scott (132) and Derrick McBride (150) also had two wins each. Scott’s came by a forfeit and a 1:22 pin, while both of McBride’s were by forfeit.
Kyson Richardson (165) and Kendrick Baggett (175) each had one win by forfeit.
On Jan. 2-3, the Tornadoes competed in the Clay Rotary Tournament, with Scott and White both going 2-2.
Scot defeated one opponent by a 4:33 pin and another by a 7-5 decision. Both of White’s wins were by pins, occurring in 1:36 and 3:42.
Five wrestlers went 1-2: McBride (2:36 pin), Acevedo (1:52 pin), Carey (16-11 decision), Pierce (21-6 technical fall) and Joseph Shetler (3:00 pin).
