The Keystone Heights Legacy 14U Fastpitch traveling team recently took to the streets of Keystone Heights to raise funds for this year’s softball World Series.
The traveling team, composed mainly of Keystone Heights residents and players from Williston and Gainesville, is preparing for the World Series in July.
The team consists of 11 girls aged 12 to 15 who have successfully outperformed many competitors here in Florida and are eager to return to the World Series.
Head Coach Aaron Miller, who leads the 14U Legacy Travel Ball team this year, said, “This is their second year competing; last year, they finished second in the state and participated in various competitions throughout Florida.”
“Come out and have a good time and support the girls, whether it’s this team or your local team,” he said.
They conduct open tryouts once a year, and everyone is welcome. They typically accept 13 to 14 girls to complete the roster.
Anyone interested in donating or sponsoring the team can visit their Facebook page, Legacy 14U fastpitch.
