Lake Butler Woman’s Club celebrated its legacy, service, and lasting impact on Monday evening, April 6, 2026, at Pine Grove Barn with a beautiful Pearls & Purpose dinner fundraiser. Platinum Pearl Sponsors for the event were Piesanos, Pine Grove Barn and Palm RV Park.
Approximately 200 guests, including Lake Butler Woman’s Club members, event sponsors and friends attended the event.
Guests were served baked ziti, salad and garlic rolls provided by Piesanos. Sondra Hunt provided entertainment by singing during dinner.

County Judge Mitchell D. Bishop gave a presentation about the history of the old courthouse, which is currently the Lake Butler Woman’s Club building. This was a key point of the celebration, noting that the clubwomen asked for the old courthouse 90 years ago, in 1936, to save it from destruction. After much work and many fundraisers, approximately two years later, in 1938, the building was deeded to the Club.
Dinner was followed by a fun live auction, and silent auction winners were announced.
There was a special area set up for Pearl dedications, which were a way for someone to honor loved ones in remembrance, tribute, and legacy.
The Lake Butler Woman’s Club would like to thank all who sponsored, attended, and contributed to making this such a beautiful and successful event.
The Lake Butler Woman’s Club was founded in 1912 and federated in 1914. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in learning more about the Lake Butler Woman’s Club, please visit our Facebook page or contact any of our members.
