Keystone Heights High School had five track and field athletes earn at-large bids to the Region 1-2A meet, while Bradford had two.

All of the Indians’ District 4 runners-up will advance to the Region 1 meet: Xana Briley in the girls javelin, Luke Lewis in the boys pole vault, Hunter Sheppard in the boys 800m and Hunter Gray in the boys 3200m. Baylor Ford, who was fifth in the 400m hurdles at the District 4 meet, will advance as well.
The Region 1 meet will be held Friday, May 1, at Pensacola’s Pine Forest High School.
Keystone’s District 4 champions automatically qualified for the Region 1 meet: Ford in the pole vault, Kaylee Park in the 100m hurdles, Ryder Thomas in the 1600m, the boys 4x800m relay team of Sheppard, Thomas, Tucker Price and Ryeland Wahl and the girls 4x800m team of Tessa Gray, Olivia Griffin, Ryleigh Thomas and Melody Tyre.
Bradford had a District 4 runner-up in Ny’asia Lopey, who earned an at-large bid to compete in the girls triple jump.
The Tornadoes’ P.J. Lee will join Lopey at the Region 1 meet after his third-place district finish in the shot put.
