Susan Rose Dodds, 77, of Starke died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at her residence with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William “Bill” Dodds; children, Dr. William (Kelly) Dodds, Vanessa (David) Gann, and Jason (Jaime) Dodds; and many extended family members and friends.
Her family will celebrate her life privately.

Colton Kuehl

Colton Austin Kuehl, 13, of Starke passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at his residence. Colton was born March 12, 2013, in Charleston, South Carolina to his parents, Mary Ann Salvatore and Brian Kuehl. He was raised in Bradford County and was a student at Bradford Elementary School. Colton was full of life and loved being outdoors, surrounded by nature. He enjoyed building forts in the woods, dreamed of learning to hunt, and was always experimenting with construction projects. While many of his attempts turned into more demolition than rebuilding, Colton approached each project with curiosity, creativity, and an adventurous spirit. He also enjoyed playing video games, spending time with his family, and being with his beloved dogs, Luna and Cosmo. Though Colton’s life was far too short, the love he shared, the energy he carried, and the memories he created left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Colton is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Salvatore of Starke; father, Brian Kuehl of South Carolina; siblings, Karla and Kasey of Florida, and Cameron and Dana of South Carolina; maternal grandparents, Wayne Salvatore and Joyce McKenzie; paternal grandparents, Richard and Donna Kuehl; and many extended family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at First Christian Church of Starke, 507 W. Call St., Starke 32091 with Pastor Dave Woodrum officiating.

Vanessa Lazzaro

Mrs. Vanessa Sue Lazzaro, 42, of Keystone Heights, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville following a short but strong battle with cancer. She was born March 21, 1984, in Jacksonville to Barbara (Otter) and the late Joseph Denton. Vanessa was a proud 2002 graduate of Bradford High School and enjoyed making countless memories with her family, including annual trips to SeaWorld and joyous summer days spent with family. Her passion for cooking and trying new recipes brought everyone together, filling their home with the delightful aroma of her culinary creations. But most of all she loved being a mom! An active member of the community, she cherished her time as a parishioner of St. William Catholic Church. She was known for her love of animals and her creative spirit, often participating in arts and crafts fairs.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of nine years, Michael Lazzaro; two daughters, Amelia Lazzaro and Kandice “KK” Jackson; two sisters, Angelia Denton and Cindy Riddling; her mother, Barbar Denton; along with her father and mother-in-law, Guy and Tina Lazzaro. Also left behind are two stepdaughters, Brandy Jackson and Dakota Jackson; along with a host of additional family members and many cherished friends that will miss her dearly.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, with Father Mike Williams presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Vanessa’s honor.

Raymond Stefanelli

Raymond Dominic Stefanelli was born June 1, 1938, to Henry and Antoinette (Caruso) Stefanelli in Wishaw, Pennsylvania. The Stefanelli family moved from Pennsylvania to Starke in 1945. Growing up in Starke, Raymond was a 1956 graduate of Bradford County High School and a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. He passed away on Jan. 27, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 87. After receiving his master’s degree in fine arts, Ray became a professor at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Later, after moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, he switched gears to another passion, writing, and became a copy writer for Brewer, Jones and Feldman. In the 1990s he established his own business, Stefanelli Marketing. Raymond was a published author and poet. His novel, “Sorrows Road” was published in 2009. “I Tell You This,” a book of poems, was published in 2020. Raymond loved working on his poetry and short stories. He was an avid outdoorsman, planting trees being a particular passion. He loved the Cincinnati Nature Center, hiking there often. Family, though, was his main passion. He dearly loved Judy, his wife of 52 years. He never remarried after her passing in 2014, saying no one could replace her in his heart. He was a loving father, mentor and trusted advisor to his children and grandchildren, always celebrating their successes. He also cared deeply and stayed in touch with his Caruso and Stefanelli relatives, as well as classmates and friends, visiting them often in Florida and Pennsylvania. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy Vincent Stefanelli; two brothers and their spouses, Al (Linda) Stefanelli, and Bob (Betty) Stefanelli; and nephews, Al Jr., Bob Jr., and Randy Stefanelli.
He is survived by daughters, Elina Stefanelli of Milford, Ohio, and Maria Bell (Michael) Turner of Chattanooga, Tennessee; son, Paul Stefanelli of Loveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Riley Bell and Julian Baker Bell; sister Elisa Stefanelli (Jim) Biggs of Maysville, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was on Feb. 9, in Milford, Ohio, and entombment took place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at Paducah, Kentucky. Memorial donations can be made in Raymond’s name to the Cincinnati Nature Center, 4949 Tealton Road, Milford, OH 45150.
