Bradford’s tee-ball all-stars came close to winning the Babe Ruth District 3 championship, losing 46-45 to Williston in the bottom of the eighth, capping a game that lasted 2.5 hours and employed two Texas tiebreakers. Battling rain delays throughout the tournament, Bradford scored a total of 142 runs in five games and defeated rivals Chiefland, Keystone Heights and Melrose. As district runner-up, Bradford earned the right to advance to the state tournament.
