Caused $1,000 in damages to patrol vehicle

After his discharge, Altman resisted being escorted to a transport vehicle and, once inside, began kicking the door in an attempt to break it open, causing an estimated $1,000 or more in damage, the report states. A sergeant deployed a Taser, and hospital staff evaluated and cleared Altman afterward. He was placed in a restraint chair at the jail because of combative behavior, according to the report.
