Union County High School students can’t use TikTok on the district network for any purpose under the 2026-27 student handbook the School Board approved July 28.
The technology policy bars all social media on district networks unless a teacher directs it for an educational purpose, and singles out TikTok for a blanket ban. Cell phones face similar limits: students may carry them but must keep them off and out of sight all day — stricter than Florida’s HB 1105, which bans device use only during instructional time for grades 9-12.
Violations count as intermediate, Level II offenses.
