—Florida State Prison inmate Tyris Devante Hawkins, 34, was sentenced Sept. 16 to 18 more months in prison after pleading no contest to throwing a cup of urine at a correctional officer in March 2024.
—The sentence came through a plea deal, will run after any other sentence Hawkins is serving, and is below the roughly 32-month minimum listed on his sentencing scoresheet.
—Hawkins admitted throwing liquid at another inmate but denied hitting the officer, and no video or other witnesses corroborated the officer’s account.
