Bradford Middle School and Bradford High School FFA members attended the annual Chapter Officer Leadership Training on Sept. 22 in High Springs, getting to experience true leadership as shown by Florida FFA state officers and mastering how to apply it to their own lives.
Members also learned how to think quickly in stressful situations while staying calm and taking control of situations when appropriate and necessary.
Nicholas Ward, who was one of 28 from Bradford to attend, said, “My favorite thing about the COLT conference was meeting new people and building connections and gaining new friendships.”
“My favorite thing at COLT was when we got to meet other people from different FFA chapters and getting to know more about them and what they’ve done in their community and making ways for their chapter to grow,” Karlee Walker said.
Emma Drake said, “The best thing about the COLT conference this year was developing new strategies to improve myself and my leadership skills.”
